Syahrunizam Samsudin begins his new role as Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of UEM Edgenta on the 1st of July 2020. After a successful stint in building and executing digital transformation at Touch’n Go and TNG Digital, he will continue his work in digital transformation, technology and innovation management to drive efficiency and growth to the asset management and infrastructure solutions sectors in a bid to build a more resilient and digitally enabled business model for the future.

Syahrunizam graduated from the Australian National University with a double degree; Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and the Bachelor of Laws (LLB). Syahrunizam is a member of the Harvard Club of Malaysia and the Institute of Marketing Malaysia. He is deeply passionate about leadership and self development and is active on the speaking circuit especially amongst emerging talent and young professionals to prepare the future workforce to be more resilient and to be adaptive to change

Outside of work, Syahrunizam is a zealous sportsman, with ardent interest in boxing, jujitsu and swimming. He believes strongly that a strong balance in physical, spiritual and emotional wellbeing develops an equally balanced self that creates a heightened sense of self-fulfilment and achievement.
